According to the general trade system exports and imports increased by 14.4%, 15.5% respectively in May 2023
According to the provisional data, produced with the cooperation of the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, in May 2023; exports were 21 billion 659 million dollars with a 14.4% increase and imports were 34 billion 186 million dollars with a 15.5% increase compared with May 2022.
Exports and imports increased by 0.1%, 8.8% respectively in January-May 2023
In January-May 2023 period, exports were 102 billion 476 million dollars with a 0.1% increase and imports were 158 billion 498 million dollars with a 8.8% increase compared with January-May 2022.
Energy products and non-monetary gold excluded exports and imports increased by 15.6%, 22.6% respectively in May
Exports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, were 20 billion 162 million dollars with a 15.6% increase in May 2023. Imports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, were 26 billion 60 million dollars with a 22.6% increase in May 2023.
Foreign trade deficit, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, was 5 billion 898 million dollars in May 2023.

Foreign trade volume was 46 billion 222 million dollars with a 19.4% increase. Energy products and non-monetary gold excluded export coverage imports was 77.4%.
