Turkey produces and exports some of the most important chrome chemicals and derivatives such as sodium bichromate, basic chrome sulfate, chromic acid and chrome oxide. In 2022, the chemical industry was one of the most important sectors among total industrial exports. The value of chemical exports was about US $ 45.5 billion in 2022. In terms of the Turkish cleaning products, industry has shown a remarkable performance in terms of quality, production capacity and variety. The main markets in the cleaning product sector are Iraq, Azerbaijan, Israel, Russia and USA. The share of our top 15 export markets in the said sector in total sector exports is around 63% in 2021. Another potential market is pharmaceutical industry which has a production structure comprised of high level of technology and automation. Pharmaceuticals industry, due to its nature, is one of the industries which has a high proportion of personnel with university education. Türkiye is exporting various pharmaceutical products to almost all countries in the world including South Korea, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Poland, and Russia.
